more wrinkles =
more thoughts.
let’s talk.
Communication is my jam. I get to know an audience, its energy, and its preferences; determine the best way to convey the information the audience needs; design and develop the vehicle; and deliver it.
audience = readers, listeners, attendees, participants, visitors
vehicle = brochure, manual, flyer, book, website, web page, infographic, data visualization, map, branding, class, training material, curriculum
services = information inventory, writing, editing, proofreading, curriculum development, graphic design, illustration, teaching, training

why “wrinklybrain”?
I embrace my wrinkles. I think laugh lines are sexy. Wrinkles show survival and reveal a lifetime of experiences and feelings. But my favorite wrinkles are the ones in our brains.
Turns out, brains have wrinkles, or folds, to increase surface area and enable the fibers that connect the parts of the brain to work across shorter distances. The more wrinkles a brain has, the more complexity it can have. More wrinkles = more (and better) thoughts. I try to keep the lint out of my brain folds and help others do the same.
If you’d like to learn more about the relationship between the structure and shape of the brain and its function, here’s a good place to start: Rachel Nuwer, “Why are our brains wrinkly?” Smithsonian, February 28, 2013.
